21/04/03: Added a few more links to the page. Keep checking on The Seeker for updates on the cancellation of O5.

11/03/03: Quick note from NZ! Visit http://www.theseekeronline.com to help the campaign.

31/01/03: It appears that the cancellation by Showtime is official (even though it was one of their highest rated shows...). But all is not lost! It appears that Sony is looking for a new network to air the show. Visit The Seeker to find out more about this.

I won't be around to update for the next couple of months as I'm going travelling. I hope that when I get back, Sony will have found a new home for O5!

24/01/03: Visit a new website devoted to saving Odyssey 5, The Seeker. If you are in the US and a subscriber, they have a great form letter for you to use to send to the network. The Save Odyssey 5 site has them in a downloadable format. Even if you aren't in the US (like me) you can still send them a letter. And don't forget to sign the petition!

There still appears to be no official word on the renewal of the series. There is also no word on when the last episodes of the first season will air in the US, although us over here in the UK are lucky enough to be seeing them now on Sky One.

22/01/2003: Visit the Save Odyssey 5 website for updated news on the cancellation. Keep writing those letters!

07/01/2003: Happy New Year! Sign this online petition and let Showtime know how we feel about the (alleged!) cancellation of O5.

27/12/2002: I hope you've all had a good holiday, but there's more bad news to dampen it I'm afraid... The Futon Critic picked up on an email from a producer of O5 to a news group, which states that the show has actually been cancelled now. I'm still hoping for a proper official statement that says otherwise but I doubt that will happen!

What can you do? Visit the Save Odyssey 5 site and find out. There are some good ideas for a back to basics fan campaign including contact addresses to write to.

20/12/2002: It looks like Odyssey 5 might be in trouble... There are doubts about it being renewed for a second season. See the articles at scifi.com and Yahoo!News. Perhaps a few letters, or even phone calls to Showtime might help them to make the right decision.
